You Are a Badass, Jen Sincero:

You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero, Paperback | Barnes & Noble®

The cover says it all… if you are doubting and holding yourself back, you need to read this book. Not only is her book filled with awesome advice, it’s funny too. It’s like having a life coach in your pocket. This is great for work, career, getting inspired to do and be who you want to be.

Lost Connections, Johann Hari

Lost Connections: Why You're Depressed and How to Find Hope: Hari, Johann: 9781632868305: Amazon.com: Books

This book blew my mind! Johann Hari takes a deep dive into the world of depression, therapy, anti-depressants and most importantly why we’re getting more and more depressed. I love this book because his findings reveal what’s missing in our lives to help make us more at peace. His solutions are simple and beautiful

The Magic, Rhonda Byrne:

The Magic (Secret (Rhonda Byrne)): Byrne, Rhonda: 8601404658709: Amazon.com: Books

Don’t let “The Secret” name throw you off, this book is freakin’ beautiful. The Magic takes you through a 28 day gratitude practice to help you understand the effect gratitude has on your brain. If you’ve been wanting to get into a gratitude practice or can’t stick to one that you feel works, I highly recommend this book to get you started. It changed the way I think about gratitude.

Erotic Stories of Punjabi Widows, Balli Kaur Jaswal:

Amazon.com: Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows: A Novel (9780062645128): Jaswal, Balli Kaur: Books

Did I throw you off? Perfect! What’s your relationship with sex and sexuality? If this title already makes you feel weird, awesome, it means you need to explore it a bit more. My background is Punjabi (Northern India) and in our culture, sex is very “hush hush” and we don’t ever talk about it. This book broke those rules for me and shed light on a whole new world about female desire from an Indian perspective. Even if you’re not Indian, this book is an excellent way to learn about a different culture.
